Are you in Canada? Well anyway for the UK, yes they are legit. They are a free charity that specialise in debt management (Free, so no fees to pay) and debt advice. I have been with them 3 years! They saved my life! I am now on a regular payment plan with all my creditors and have not needed the cccs to be involved for over a yr now! I am still with them, still get advise and use their paperwork and repayment plans, but I don't need them to be there every single step because I am now managing my debt on my own. They are one of the best out there as they are free unlike some stupid companies AND the creditors know about them, work with them and respect them. Whenever I mention the CCCS to creditors they back down from harassing me and actually then try to work out repayment plans! Wish I new about them before my debts spiralled! :0) Sounds like your on the right track! |
