I need all the weight loss advice you can give me!?

Question: I need all the weight loss advice you can give me!?

(Posted by: hey on 2010-02-09 15:00:17)

I'm 17, and I want to lose about 10 pounds. I eat right around 1200 calories per day, and I integrate exercise into my daily life- I walk and bike to school and friend's houses instead of drive, and I walk with ankle weights while I watch TV. I need any sort of tips and advice that you have for me, I've been trying to lose this weight on and off for over a year, and I am trying to figure out how to really commit and just do it!

Stop worrying about calories but worry more about WHAT you eat. avoid fast food, processed food (cake, ice cream, cereal,.....chips), and sodas avoiding soda alone will save you like 500 calories per week or so but dont worry about calories try to eat food that you can find in nature, like a potato versus french fry fried in oil when you eat food, eat small meals but instead of eating 3 times per day...eat like 5 or 6 so that way your metabolism won't stop and while you're sitting down, it will still burn those "calories ". drink plenty of filtered water, avoid tap water bc it has pharmaceutical drugs & fluoride in it.a berkey filter system is a great thing to have. when you're watching TV w/ those ankle weights...they're not really helping. instead of using so much time ....just spare 20 minutes of vigorous, fast running and it'll burn lots. that's better than a light jog. the main thing to lose weight is to watch what you eat. you won't ever gain weight on eating vegetables and healthy food but you will if you eat snacks that are unhealthy, processed, and loaded with preservatives. oh yeah.... avoid fake sugar like sweet n low..... etc... they're really bad for your health. also don't buy into those products that say "fat free ".... your brain needs certain types of fat so that your memory can preserved. the myelin sheaths that surround your nerve cells depend on certain fats....

Hey if your really serious about it I would say make sure you are eating right. You want plenty of fruits and veggies and drink lots of water. Also the exercising is good, but you may want to mix it up and make your body work a little harder. Try running for a half hour when you can. It burns a lot more calories than running does. If you mix that in with your walking and such you should be doing great. :)

You can eat whatever you want (but not fast food or fries etc.) and in not so huge but normal portions. all you have to do is burn calories. DONT TAKE PILLS THEY DONT WORK YOU JUST PEE THEM OUT everyday run around in a circle with a diameter of about 15 feet while doing things like high knees, skipping and butt kicks etc. do some cartwheels somersaults and dont forget to stretch! do this all in a small hot room and remember to stay hydrated

Get a member ship to a gym and take out time to go there every week and really work hard. if you cant go to the gym get into a sport, some good sports that burn calories and fat are soccer, track, and gymnastics. If you want a at home work out system try making a schedule to get it together... write it down on a piece of paper or white board. For example write : workout-time snack- time.. and so on do it your way. If your bad at committing to it try eating healthy first. Don't buy candy or junk food. try eating fruits like apples or bananas. Smoothies are really good when you are craving some sweets. Try some exercises like squats, lunches, sit-ups, and get classes at the gym so you will have more encouragement.
