Question about my weight loss progress? Tips?
Hello everyone,Okay so this is me now. I am 6'2'' My day includes 3 meals breakfast, lunch, and dinner I generally stay under 1,500 calories a day. I was 270 lbs. but I have lost some and am now 266 lbs. I know a lot of people will say rapid weight loss is bad because it rebounds because you can't stick to it... but I can, and will always. Sure, when I am a decent weight I will have a burger now and then but keep under 1,500 always.I am also taking 3 detox supplements a day. 2 Acai Detox capsules in the morning, 1 colon cleanse after lunch and 1 flex factor at night. This could be a sham, but it didn't cost much so, what ever, can't hurt. I need to loose most of my weight by June because I am meeting a girl for the first time and I want to make a good impression and look my best.My projected weight is around 167 lbs. to 170 lbs. by the first few weeks of June... that means like 1 lbs. of fat burnt a day. I know it's rapid but I'll endure. Really I'll settle for anything under 200 lbs. but I hope to at least get to be 180 85 lbs. Thanks Oh, and I got stretch marks When do those start to fade? Any time you get smaller than I am?
I'm destroying my weight loss progress?
So I've managed to lose over 25lb. in the course of close to a year I've gone to 170lb. to 143lb. I have been at the 143lb. plateau for about four months, lightly fluctuating from between 145 and 141, but the average is 143. Anyway, I've become rather frustrated, and have started binge eating again. Occasionally I catch myself doing this, reprimand myself and walk away from the food. More often, though, I wallow in physical self loathing and continue eating. I'd started to abuse laxatives, but really thought about what it was I was doing and decided the potential bodily harm is not worth it. Other aspects besides my inability to take my weight into my own hands have caused me to become depressed, so physical exercise isn't as often as it used to be, and if I have a day off from work, I sleep. I am currently 146lb, which isn't too far off from where I was, but I don't want to move backward.I'm 20, live with my parents until mid August, when I move away for school , and am not really in charge of my diet as far as meals go I eat what they make for dinner, as I have very little money to spend .My question Does anyone have any advice that will get me out of this funk and help me reach my goal of 135lb?
Can taking sleep aids at night slow down your weight loss progress?
When I cannot sleep due to aches and pains I take sleep aids. I'm trying to lose 41 pounds I have lost 21 pounds so far and I wonder if you take sleep aids if it throws off your metabolism.

Is pooping a lot a sign of weight loss progress??
I started to work out again. And for the first 2 weeks I've been having a soft stomach if you know what I mean. The kind that feels like you are getting cramps and you cannot wait. I have been doing crunches so I'm assuming that this has to do with it.
Could someone give me advice on my diet and weight loss progress?
I am a 26 y o w m at 6'3" . My weight was up to 305 lbs back in 2007. I have had a moderate weight problem my entire life. I started the Atkins diet in July 2007 and lost about 80 lbs. As soon as I stopped dieting, I fell right back into my old habits and got back up to 266 lbs. I started a low calorie diet in April 2008 and I am down to 199 lbs today. My job entails walking laps around a 200,000 Sq Ft supercenter for several hours at a time Usually between 5 and 10 . I use a low estimate for my speed 3.0 MPH . My primary function is to catch shoplifters, so I have frequent adrenaline rushes, and I am forced to move and stretch my body into several unique positions throughout the day. I feel like I am getting a sufficient amount of exercise at work. I would estimate that I walk about 5 miles on a slow day at work. I do light calisthenics about 3 times per week, normally just crunches and stretching. My diet has been pretty strict. I am using the site fitday dot com to track what I eat and make sure that my daily calorie balance is as precise as possible. My average daily consumption since mid May has been about 1400. I feel healthy, satisfied, and I eat when I am hungry. I have found several ways to slash calories from my diet. For example, I have found 71 cal wheat tortillas taco size that are great for wraps. I use very low cal and low fat lunch meats and fat free cheese for sandwiches and wraps. I eat a lot of fruit. The 100 calorie snack packs have been great for snacking. Ground beef has been virtually eliminated and replaced with lean ground turkey. My wife has really jumped on board with the healthy eating because my daughter is about to start eating table food. We have been using a lot of Lean Cuisine meals for quick lunches and breakfasts. In the event that we do get to cook a meal, we purchased a portion scale that has made it possible to be very accurate with serving sizes. I ALWAYS make sure to eat breakfast. I occasionally have to skip lunch, but I make a valiant effort not to. From the results I have achieved, I am confident that I am not making too many mistakes. I change things up quite often to keep my metabolism on it's toes. The only obvious mistake I see is not changing my exercise routine up. That is because I moderately injured my ankle back in May in a fight with a shoplifter. That has eliminated most strenuous physical activity. We don't have the money for a gym membership, and I do not have access to any weight training equipment. So, there is my background. Now for the question. Over the last couple weeks, my weight loss has hit a pretty big plateau. I have only lost about 6 lbs in the last two weeks. I am currently experimenting with eating a couple hundred more calories a day. Is it normal for the progress to slow so dramatically? Is there anything that I can do to improve my results? My goal weight is 180 lbs. That is about mid range BMI for a healthy weight. The NHI says my ideal weight is about 175 lbs. Does anyone have any advice or tips on how I can integrate some type of weight training into my routine in an inexpensive way. I am very concerned that I am losing more muscle mass than I am comfortable with. I still have very noticeable love handles. What can I do about that? How does body fat redistribute throughout ones body during periods of weight loss? I appreciate anyone who takes the time to read all of this and respond lol.I started the low cal diet in April 2009, not 2008....Sorry about that.

Weight loss progress--continue or relax?
Well, it's been 9 months and I've lost about 40 45 pounds. I fit my size 36s pretty easily 6 2, 232 or so and I'm feeling pretty good right now.I'm still eating great lots of fruit, lots of water, lots of chicken , but I've slowed up on the exercise. Part of the reason is because I now live a mile in the sky and I can't run as much as before.I still want to lose 20 more pounds, but right now my motivation is severely lacking. What can I do to keep it up and lose 15 20 more pounds before Jan 1 my goal was to be between 210 220 .P.S. When I mean a mile in the sky, I went from Sacramento, CA to Irapuato, Guanajuato, Mexico 1 mile above sea level I have considered getting a punching bag...

Does the amount of fat in your diet affect your weight-loss progress?
I'm not a Biology major so I have no idea how the inner workings of the body operate and therefore don't know what's being burned and what's being stored. I am on a weight loss plan that I want to finish by the end of the summer. Now I believe that the average human being is supposed to have 20 grams of fat a day don't quote me on that but I know for a fact I eat more grams of fat a day than that. But, at the same time, I stay under 1200 calories and I exercise. So, even though I eat roughly 1200 calories a day and exercise, will the fact that I eat more grams of fat a day than I should affect my actual weight loss? Does how many grams of fat even matter as long as I stay within a certain calorie range and exercise? Does this keep me from losing actually fat?
