Anything you can stick with will usually work. That's the toughest thing about an exercise or diet program. You have to be able to keep it up, or you'll just gain the weight back. Right now I'm doing Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. The actual exercising lasts 20 minutes, probably around 30 with warm-ups and cool-downs. I have also tried Turbo Jam, Tae Bo, and P90X. All of those will work if you can stick with them. My issue is usually that I don't like exercise videos that last over an hour. The 30 day shred is short, but it is by no means easy. It definitely feels like a huge calorie burn in a short amount of time. I definitely think it's worth it. As far as healthy eating goes...there are all kinds of diet plans, but I won't stick to any of them, so I just try to cut out calories here and there. I try not to eat so many things that are bad for me and add in a few more foods that are good for me. Also, I try to eat smaller portions, especially of things that I know aren't that good for me. There is only one weight loss program that works. It is called burning more calories than you take in. Easy things to do to cut your calories. 1. drop the soda 2. Eat 5-7 times a day but small portions, breakfast should be your hardiest meal 3. Drop the salt, salt will cause you to retain a lot of water weight. 4. Stay Hydrated, water is the single best fluid to use to rehydrate yourself, not gatorade, or these so called health drinks. Easy exercise 1. A brisk walk around the block before bed 2. weight training 2 days a week 3. Cardio training 3 days a week 4. Yoga or other deep stretching routine. Things to avoid Supplements - while supplements can fill your body with needed nutrients, a good balanced diet will always out perform these. Pills - There is no magical Pill to lose weight. Any pill that claims to do this will do more harm than good. Energy Drinks - Carbs will give your body a boost of energy, however you are trying to use your stored energy, not gain energy from an outside source. |
